Position Overview

IntuiTap Medical is a venture-backed medical device company developing tactile/mechanical imaging solutions that simplify and improve the accuracy of spinal puncture procedures. Since their inception in 2016, the company has raised $13.5M to date from investors such as Ionis Pharmaceuticals and Curate Capital. IntuiTap’s first device has already secured FDA 510(k) clearance, with early clinical studies demonstrating higher first-pass success versus the manual standard of care. Ongoing pilots with several large U.S. hospital systems have attracted interest from potential strategic acquirers including Becton Dickinson and Teleflex.

We have partnered with Jessica Traver, CEO, and the Board of Directors at IntuiTap to appoint an Executive Chair who will work hands-on each week with leadership to refine commercial strategy, accelerate Series B fundraising, and guide the company toward a strategic exit.

Position description:
• Provide weekly strategic leadership to the CEO & Board, owning the roadmap to a Series B raise and a strategic exit.
• Leverage prior M&A or fundraising experience to secure capital, cultivate investor relationships, and structure deal terms.
• Guide hospital-workflow adoption strategies and support hiring of commercialization leadership (future CCO/VP).
• Refine Gen 2 product positioning, reimbursement strategy, and patent portfolio expansion.
• Chair quarterly board meetings while mentoring the five-person leadership team through growth and commercialization.
