Position Overview

Following the inertia of the growing mechanical circulatory space with J&J’s acquisition of Abiomed, Magenta Medical developed the next-generation percutaneous self-expandable Left Ventricular Assist Device (pLVAD). Magenta Medical is in the early stages of a 300-patient Randomized Controlled Trial (RCT) and raised $105M in 2024 to lead the U.S. RCT for multiple mechanical circulatory support indications. We are hiring 3 U.S. Clinical Specialists.
 


We have partnered with David Israeli, Chairman & CEO, and Keri McGovern, Senior Clinical Manager, to hire 3 Clinical Specialists (West, Midwest, South/Southeast). These positions will be responsible for supporting cases, prepping the device, and organizing logistics from headquarters to clinical sites. The RCT will include up to 300 patients with 30-35 U.S. sites. Our Clinical Specialists must have a strong Cath Lab background and be located near a major airport due to high travel requirements.

Responsibilities 

  • Coordinate and provide case support to the physicians in clinical trial procedures in compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP), regulatory guidelines, and protocols. 

  • Responsible for training the clinical site personnel and investigators on proper use of the Elevate System via education sessions and case support.

  • Monitoring trial progress and ensuring compliance with regulations.

  • Liaising with the clinical sites and Clinical Trial Management (CTM) team to enhance the clinical trial process  

  • Logistics coordination for cases, clinical trial device inventory.

  • Ability to travel up to 80% within the region required. 

Qualifications & Competencies 

  • Familiarity with clinical trial phases and processes. 

  • Experience in interventional cardiology and invasive cardiac therapies. 

  • Vast knowledge of hemodynamic monitoring and support. 

  • Experience with Mechanical Circulatory Support (MCS). 

  • Ability to adapt appropriately in stressful situations. 

  • Excellent organizational and intrapersonal skills. 

  • Strong execution and ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment. 

  • Advanced self-learning and problem-solving abilities.

  • Capable of identifying and addressing operational challenges proactively.
