Houston
MedTech Oktoberfest

When
September 15–16, 2026

Where
Saint Arnold
Brewing Company
2000 Lyons Ave, Houston, TX 77020

What does Oktoberfest have to do with Texas and why is it in September?

Leveraging an epic German-style brewing campus where Saint Arnold is to Houston as Sam Adams is to Boston, this MedTech conference is a combination of an ode to the German heritage of Texas dating back to the 1840’s and a celebration of the resources in the world’s largest medical center in Houston. And like Bavaria’s original decision, moving Oktoberfest to September allows for longer and warmer days to enjoy beer gardens and festivities.

The Houston MedTech Oktoberfest gathers a curated group of 400 corporate strategics, investors, executive operators, academic institutions, policy makers, and industry partners for meaningful conversations, industry insight, and relationship-driven networking in a relaxed, festively memorable setting. Lederhosen and dirndln are encouraged.

Attendees return each year for standout moments with industry leaders and market makers, insightful panels, and spontaneous conversations that happen over craft beer, Kölsch service, and live music. More than a conference, it is a tradition that fuels collaboration and forges lasting relationships across the MedTech community.

Real testimonials from innovators shaping the future of MedTech

Much appreciation to amigo Giovanni Lauricella & his team at Lifeblood for the epic Oktoberfest Medtech event in Houston the past couple of days.
More than 275 medtech entrepreneurs, companies, physicians & venture, strategic and IB investors were represented.

The pannel discussion were highly educational and the networking was outstanding with good vibes and the Saint Arnold Brewing Company lager and Ale flowing. We are so happy to have an event in Texas of this quality that is close to home and economical to participate.

I met so many amazing people including folks I have worked with through Zoom but not met in person. Attendees came as far away as Japan, Scotland, Seattle, Boston, Bay Area, & many other far away spots.

Stratus Medical & Sailfish Investments were proud to support this great program and look forward to the Houston Med Tech Rodeo by Lifeblood in Q1 2026.

Beers & Cheers was absolutely the perfect theme for the Lifeblood Houston MedTech Oktoberfest conference and it did not disappoint!
🍻 Beers & Cheers was absolutely the perfect theme for the Lifeblood Houston MedTech Oktoberfest conference and it did not disappoint!I just shared a post talking about how LSI Europe was a highlight of the year for me, and then came Giovanni Lauricella and Joseph Snyder’s Lifeblood event this past week. I am so glad I made the trip to Houston to attend!

Kicking off with the CEO-only forum was a really nice way to immerse and learn from a lot of pros all in one room. And especially pleased that our very own Board Chair Gabriele Niederauer, PhD had the opportunity to contribute as a serial med device entrepreneur on the CEO panel. What a great start to the meeting!

The program was certainly appreciated by everyone - from venture capital insights and FIH trial learnings to commercializing MedTech, health system venture engagement, M&A strategy, Houston-based investors, success stories, and even the launch of the new Atomic Accelerator Program, all were exceptional.

And yes, there was a super cool visit to Meow Wolf too!

This was easily one of the best meetings I’ve attended in recent memory. It’ll be tough to top next year, but I have no doubt Gio and the team will find a way.

Big shoutout to all the friends I reconnected with and the new faces I met (too many to list) - I’ll be digging out from all the follow-ups this next week, and that’s the best kind of problem to have.

👏 Gio, Joseph, and the entire team at Lifeblood - Thank You! You all made this event so much fun!
